Profit crafting in Path of Exile 2 isn't about throwing currency at an item and hoping for a miracle. The better approach is to spot a gap between material costs and what players will pay for a finished piece. Adonia's Ego fits that model well. You start with an Exceptional Siphoning Wand, prepare the base, then use the Omen interaction to control the unique outcome. It still takes a decent supply of POE 2 Currency, but the process is far less reckless than ordinary chance crafting. The money comes from doing the awkward work that many buyers would rather skip: sourcing bases, raising quality, accepting failed attempts, and sorting the results. If the market is active and your costs stay under control, one strong wand can cover several misses.

Build the Batch Before You Start

Don't begin with one wand and buy each material as you need it. That's usually the expensive way to craft, and it makes a bad streak feel much worse. Pick up a batch of Exceptional Siphoning Wand bases first, then source the required Omens, quality materials, Archonist Etchers, Vaal Infusers, and any supporting currency. Bulk sellers will sometimes accept a lower rate, especially when they want to clear stock quickly. It's also worth checking prices at different hours. A material that looks overpriced during peak trading can be noticeably cheaper later. Keep a simple note of what you've spent. Nothing fancy-base cost, quality cost, Omen cost, and fees for any extra steps. Players often remember the big purchase and forget the smaller ones. Those little costs add up fast when you're working through 30 or 50 bases.

Quality Comes Before the Unique

The normal wand should be brought to the target quality before it becomes Adonia's Ego. In this method, 30% Quality is the number you're aiming for. Doing that work on the base is generally more practical than trying to fix the item after conversion. There's a catch, though: quality preparation isn't a clean, guaranteed ladder. Depending on the currencies involved, a base may be lost to corruption or become unusable for the next step. That's why experienced crafters don't get attached to a single wand. They prepare several and treat failures as part of the average cost. You'll quickly notice that ten attempts tell you almost nothing. A rough run can wipe out most of a small batch, while a lucky run makes the method look better than it really is. Larger batches give you a more honest picture and make it easier to price each successful 30% base.

Use the Omen With a Clear Cost Limit

Once the Exceptional Siphoning Wand is ready, activate the Omen of Chance and use the relevant chance-crafting step to turn the base into Adonia's Ego. The appeal is obvious: you're removing the biggest uncertainty in ordinary unique conversion. That doesn't mean every completed wand is worth the same amount. Rolls matter, and buyers pay more for versions that suit current caster setups. Before listing anything, compare similar wands rather than copying the first price you see. Check the important rolls, quality, and how long comparable listings have been sitting on the market. A wand listed for 100 Divine Orbs isn't necessarily a 100-Divine item if nobody's buying it. Set a minimum return before crafting. If your prepared base and conversion cost 20 Divines, for example, selling at 22 may not be worth the time or risk. Leave room for failed bases, price cuts, and the possibility that demand cools while you're crafting.

Sell the Results, Not the Hype

The best sales usually come from sensible pricing and patience. Separate the finished wands into tiers based on their rolls. Average versions can be listed at a competitive price to recover capital, while the better ones deserve more research. Don't dump every wand at once if the market is thin. A wall of identical listings can push buyers to wait for further cuts, and other sellers may undercut you straight away. List a few, see which rolls attract whispers, then adjust. It also helps to record actual sale prices instead of advertised prices. After a couple of batches, you'll know which outcomes move quickly and which ones sit in the stash for days. That information is more useful than a flashy screenshot from someone else's lucky session. If Omens spike or wand prices fall, stop. There's no prize for continuing a craft after the margin has disappeared.

Final Thoughts

Adonia's Ego crafting works best as a trading project rather than a casino spin. Buy materials when they're reasonably priced, prepare enough bases to smooth out bad luck, and judge every completed wand on its real rolls. Most importantly, recalculate the margin before each new batch. League economies change quickly, and yesterday's easy profit can become today's break-even craft. Players who need more working capital may choose to buy POE 2 Currency Orbs, but a larger bankroll doesn't replace careful accounting. Start with a manageable batch, track every expense, and sell into genuine demand. When the numbers no longer make sense, put the materials aside and wait for the market to shift.
